It’s already been a week since we hosted Network Conference 2025 at Farnborough International Conference Centre. Reflecting on the day, it’s safe to say this was one of our most successful events to date, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved as a mortgage and insurance network. We welcomed a record number of network members, and with our fantastic exhibitors, staff, and partners on site, we had over 360 people under one roof. A strong figure for our first ever network-only conference.
Farnborough ICC
We wanted a venue that not only delivered on functionality but also reflected the scale, motivation, and future-focused mindset of Mortgage Intelligence. Farnborough ICC did exactly that – and more. A venue rooted in innovation, from the birthplace of British aviation in 1908 to hosting forward -thinking businesses a century later, it truly reflected our ambition.
As one delegate put it, “I think the venue was awesome. Great location, good parking and plenty of hotels to choose from if you wanted to stay over”.
Conference Session
The day kicked off with a warm welcome from our Managing Director, John Cupis, who set the tone with a clear message: in a complex and fast-moving industry, simplicity and clarity are more important than ever.
Reiterating our commitment to our members as an award-winning mortgage and insurance network, with continued investment in technology, communication, and engagement.
Lender Panel
We then dove into the heart of the agenda with our much-anticipated Lender Panel, tackling some of the biggest challenges and opportunities in today’s mortgage landscape. From regulatory developments to the outlook for base rates and specialist lending. We were joined by a stellar line-up:
- Ian Andrew, Managing Director, Intermediary Sales Nationwide
- Richard Beardshaw, Chair – IMLA & Head of Sales HSBC UK
- Sara Palmer, Sales & Distribution Director Shawbrook Retail
- Louisa Sedgwick, Managing Director (Mortgages) Paragon
Attendees gave the lender panel an excellent 8/10 rating, reflecting the relevance and depth of the discussion.
Provider Panel
Next up was our Provider Panel, which provided a forward-looking perspective on the protection market. In advance of launching our new protection panel, this session explored a wide range of topics – from the influence of political change to the growing role of genetic testing and its implications on underwriting. Expert insights came from:
- Andy Philo, Director of Strategic Partnerships Vitality
- Rupinder Bahra, Head of Strategic Accounts & Implementation UK MetLife
- Jamie Page, Head of Protection Distribution The Exeter
This panel also impressed, receiving a strong 8/10 rating. As one attendee noted, “The panel debate this year was very knowledgeable and provided a great insight to things ahead”.
Connecting with Industry Leaders
One of the standout elements was the incredible range of over 50 leading lenders and providers who joined us on the day. From high street to specialist, the diversity on display offered something for everyone. Whether you were exploring new partnerships, strengthening existing relationships, or simply looking to stay informed on the latest market developments.
Attendees valued the opportunity to have real conversations, “networking with other lenders who I wouldn’t typically deal with day to day” and “placing a high value case that I thought I could not find a home for”, contributing to a vibrant and productive atmosphere throughout the day. It’s no surprise this part of the conference received a fantastic 9/10 rating. It’s this scale of opportunity, across every corner of the market, that makes Network Conference such a unique and valuable experience for our members.
Comedy Club
After a full day of insights and industry discussions, the evening gave us something truly special. The ‘comedy club-themed’ evening provided the perfect relaxed setting to unwind, socialise and laugh with colleagues. Guest comedian, Simon Brodkin delivered a set that kept everyone laughing from start to finish.
Audience engagement was fantastic with many attendees calling it the highlight of the day, with the evening segment receiving an outstanding 9/10 rating. As one attendee put it, “I thought the evening set up was really cool, gave the night a focus”. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to close the day.
Network Awards
Following the laughs, we moved into our Network Awards Ceremony, where we celebrated the exceptional individuals and firms within our network. With 15 awards handed out – including new categories recognising administrators, network ambassadors, and our very own Mortgage Intelligence team – it was a chance to celebrate with our members and spotlight so many incredible achievements.
“It was a great overall event which we all really enjoyed. It was nice for Admin to be included and Jenny from our office really felt involved and saw the bigger picture.”
Dorset Children's Foundation
Community is at the heart of what we do, and this year’s event continued our commitment to giving back.
Thanks to your generosity, we raised £2,070 for the Dorset Children’s Foundation, a charity we’re proud to support in its mission to improve the lives of local children with disabilities and their families.
Every donation helps make a difference, and we’re grateful for the overwhelming support shown on the day.
To everyone who joined us, thank you. Your engagement, support, and energy made this event what it was. And to those who helped behind the scenes – our exhibitors, speakers and staff – we couldn’t have done it without you.
Now, all eyes turn to 2026. We’re already planning how we can raise the bar again. Until then, thank you for being part of Network Conference 2025.
